PingPong Mediation
Art accessibility through 3d sculptures
Context
The Ping-Pong Mediation project was born from the Accessible Hack, a marathon for the creation of ideas for accessibility proposals for people with disabilities in the universe of culture, held in early 2021 with production and accessibility professionals from the eLABorando Network. The goal was to establish a space for dialogue and content creation with and for people with disabilities in MAM-RIO's activities.
Project
I contributed 3D models of miniature sculptures from the Raw State exhibition for 3D printing. The proposal enabled people with visual impairments to explore the works through touch and discuss their experience with MAM-RIO’s mediation team.

Process
I sculpted the pieces in Blender using photographs taken by the team, then sent the files to eLABorando for printing and distribution to participants.

Interviews
I edited the recorded meetings, incorporated the Brazilian Sign Language translation and applied the project’s visual identity to the videos.

Tools
I used Blender for modeling, Adobe Illustrator for the visual identity and Kdenlive for video editing.
